The Master of Science in Environmental, Culture and Land Economics (Laurea Magistrale in Economia dell’Ambiente, della Cultura e del Territorio - EACT) is an advanced, future-oriented and multidisciplinary two-year Master’s degree offered by the University of Turin.

EACT offers its graduates a career-oriented, highly specialized degree focusing on the economic analysis and policy design in domains of high relevance and priority, choosing among two different curricula:

Environmental Economics and Policy (EPA): to understand the impact of human actions  on ecosystems - climate change, pollution, natural resource depletion, biodiversity loss - and acquire the instruments of economic, territorial, technical and quantitative analysis required to design environmental policies, in the industrial domain as well as within national and international environmental protection agencies.

Cultural Economics and Policy  (EPC): to understand,  manage and valorize the linkages between territorial systems and their historic-artistic heritage, becoming prefessionals capable to contribute to local development processes grounded  on cultural resources and supply chains, on sustainable tourism and on creative industries.

Part of the Department of Economics and Statistics (EST), EACT draws also from the teaching and research experience of two other departments of the University of Turin: the Interuniversity (with the Politechnic of Turin) Department of Regional and Urban Studies an Planning (DIST) and the Department of Socio-economic and Mathematic-statistic Sciences (ESOMAS).

 

EACT belongs to Economics cluster of graduate degree in the Italian the education system. 

The main language is Italian, but several courses are taught in English, and so is most of the study material, with the objective to enhance the degree's internazionalization, both in terms of incoming international students and of mobility of national ones.
