Master of Science in
Environmental, Culture and Land Economics

The Master of Science in Environmental, Culture and Land Economics (Laurea Magistrale in Economia dell’Ambiente, della Cultura e del Territorio, or EACT) is offered by the University of Turin.

It is coordinated by the Department of Economics and Statistics "Cognetti De Martiis" (EST), in collaboration with the Interuniversity Department (University of Turin and Polytechnic University of Turin) of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) and the Department of Socio-economic and Mathematical-statistical Sciences (ESOMAS). EACT belongs to the Economics cluster of graduate degrees in the Italian education system.

Teaching strategy: Our course of studies aims to provide students with a high level, up-to-date set of competences on topical issues ranging from sustainability and resource management to circular economy and cultural industries. Teaching modules are designed in a synergistic and coordinated way, with a strong quantitative component and use of IT and software packages, in order to develop a solution-oriented approach.
Emphasis is placed on soft skills as well: teamwork and peer tutoring are constantly nurtured through research groups and presentations. Teaching activities include preparatory classes, practicals, laboratories, seminars. Students are encouraged and assisted in finding opportunities to write their Master Dissertation through research on-the-ground. Moreover, experts from both the public and the private sector are frequently invited to speak to the classes.
